Womens Motorcycle Boots

Womens Motorcycle Boots are first and foremost a safety issue, although they cab look great too.

Ladies, if you ride, boots need to be part of your overall riding protective clothing, including your helmet, jacket, chaps, and gloves. Obviously your boot will provide protection for feet, ankles, and depending on length your lower leg as well.

Style, while important, needs to be a secondary concern if you ride. Now if you just want a fashionable pair of boots and like a motorcycle style, there are plenty of choices for you although we will concentrate on actual riding boots here (many of which which look pretty awesome in my opinion).

Women's motorcycle boots come in two basic types:

Full length boots, which are around eight to eleven plus inches tall. These have better ankle, foot and leg protection due to their length, and I prefer these myself.

For full length ladies motorcycle boots, I love Women's Harley-Davidson® Sedona and also the Tourmaster Solution Waterproof Boots are popular.

Shorty boots are sometimes called ankle-length boots. Usually they're about 6" tall. Popular models include Harley-Davidson Women's El Paso Boots and Red Wing Women's Double Zip Motorcycle Boots.

You should not take my advice, but look for a boot that works well and that you you like.

Avoid boots with big heels. Although a small heel is recommended so they sit on motorcycle pegs well, big heels just get in the way and make moving your feet around difficult while on a bike.

You'll find boots with laces, zippers, and buckles. I love buckles the most, zippers next because they are super convenient, and I don't care for laces. Laces can get caught on the footpeg or in the chain (always tuck them in if you can remember).

Remember that motorcycle boots are intended for riding. They may or may not be comfortable for long term wearing, although modern boots with ventilation, new materials, etc. are more comfortable when off the bike.

Ask around, look around, and read online reviews to find a pair that you love.
